(Dirt Old Drawing) In Luau of June 28, 2014~

So, today is June 28, 2014. What is so special about this date, you may ask. Well, it is precisely one hundred years since the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand- heir to Austria-Hungary- in 1914, thus beginning what we now refer to as World War One. Why would you be celebrating this, you may ask? I mean, the assassination is generally a bad thing, and WWI? Not very upbeat there.

My point is, if you're familiar with the Leviathan Trilogy, it is the date the series begins. Yes, in the books, both the archduke and his wife (who happen to be one of the main character's parents) are still murdered, but it brings about a valuable plot. In any case, today is sort of like a 413 for Leviathaneers, and it makes it even cooler that it is exactly 100 years since the event took place.

But I presume not a lot of people celebrated it... Even though a one hundredth anniversary isn't something you can just celebrate every day... It takes one hundred years (no dip). To be honest, I did not celebrate it either, and as I am typing this, at nearly midnight, I have come to realize how guilty I feel. :/ I was going to make an animation, or drawing, or even just go to the History Museum, but I didn't... So I'll tell you what. You guys, you super awesome fans, can tell me one scene from all of the books that you'd like me to illustrate, and I'll get it done as soon as possible. c; Just a warning, only one theme will be chosen, so you may want to vote collectively, as you'll only have once chance! On a much more positive note, I see the Alek-and-Deryn Group have celebrated today... That made me happy. UvU I hope you Levithaneers were able to spam your Watchers or Followers or whatever with Leviathan awesomeness and had a good laugh out of it today... If not, just wait for Dalek Week! Starting July 21st, you're pretty much allowed to fangirl (or boy) about Leviathan as much as you want. x'D I expect Tumblr to have a lot... C; GO CRAZY, YOU GUYS! Spread the love. /D

Anyways, if you were wondering about the drawing, well, here's the information on it: Because I have been busy recently, I didn't have time to do anything for June 28th. Fortunately, I was looking around for something to post, and I found this dirt old piece hidden under a bunch of sketch books and crayons and crap. XD I doodled this in class after finishing Goliath... So that was probably like, in February? Yep. Dirt old. Crappy. Never to be finished. XD Alek n' Bovvie. UvU Only a few months and I've improved a buttload... Barking spiders. x'D
